BroadcastMed LLC, doing business as Conexiant (Conexiant, we, us, or our), respects your privacy. This Notice explains what personal information we collect, how we use and disclose it, how cookies and similar technologies are managed, how long we keep information, and the privacy choices and rights that may be available to you.
This Notice is written for visitors, readers, subscribers, healthcare and other professionals, event attendees, survey participants, customers, client administrators, account holders, and other users of the Conexiant Services. A shorter or supplemental notice may appear on a particular form, survey, event, sponsored program, client site, or product. Please read that notice together with this one.
Use of the Services is also subject to the applicable Conexiant Terms of Use and any customer agreement, event terms, or other terms presented for a particular Service.
This Notice applies to personal information processed through Conexiant-operated websites, digital publications, newsletters, accounts, applications, hosted platforms, events, webinars, videos, surveys, forms, competitions, downloads, sponsored programs, customer-support channels, and related digital or print services that link to this Notice. We refer to them collectively as the Services.
The Services include Conexiant-owned properties and Conexiant technology used to host or support client-controlled experiences, including audience-engagement and live-event services. Section 2 explains how our role differs depending on the Service and the information involved.
This Notice does not apply:
BroadcastMed LLC, doing business as Conexiant, is the business or controller for personal information when we determine the purposes and means of processing. This generally includes information connected with:
Some Services host content, events, forms, accounts, or digital experiences for a Conexiant client (Client Services). For personal information that a client submits to the platform or directs us to collect and process on its behalf (Client Data), the client generally acts as the business or controller and Conexiant acts as its service provider, contractor, or processor.
For Client Data, we process information to provide, secure, maintain, support, analyze, and improve the contracted Client Services; follow the client’s documented instructions; comply with law; and perform other activities permitted by the applicable agreement. We do not use Client Data for our own unrelated advertising or marketing, and we do not sell or share Client Data for cross-context behavioral advertising, except where the client directs the activity and applicable law permits it.
The client’s privacy notice governs the client’s use of Client Data. Privacy requests about Client Data should normally be directed to the relevant client. We assist clients with requests as required by our agreements and applicable law.
Even within a Client Service, Conexiant may remain independently responsible for limited information that we collect for our own purposes, such as client-administrator contact details, billing records, support communications, platform-security logs, fraud-prevention information, and records needed to comply with law or protect the Services.
A sponsor, advertiser, event partner, professional-network provider, or content provider may be a separate business or controller when it receives personal information for its own purposes. We identify the organization and explain the relevant disclosure at the point of collection or in the applicable Service.
The information we collect depends on how you interact with the Services.
We may receive or verify information from:
This information may include contact details, professional attributes, subscription or account status, professional interests, identity-verification information, and engagement information.
If you do not provide information marked as required, we may be unable to create an account, authenticate you, provide requested content, process an order, register you for an event, complete a transaction, or otherwise fulfill your request.
The general Services are designed mainly for professional and business use. We do not ask you to submit identifiable patient information, medical records, or other protected health information through ordinary website forms, surveys, public forums, or unsecured email. Information about your professional specialty or field of work is not normally health information about you.
Please do not post patient information, account credentials, financial information, or other sensitive personal information in a public forum, chat area, comment section, or other public feature. Information you make public may be seen, copied, or used by others.
Where we intentionally collect information treated as sensitive under applicable law, we provide any additional notice, consent, limitation, or choice required by law and use the information only for disclosed purposes.
We use personal information for the following business and commercial purposes:

We may use deidentified or aggregated information for research, measurement, reporting, product development, and other lawful purposes. We do not attempt to reidentify information that applicable law requires us to maintain as deidentified.
Where applicable law requires consent for a particular activity, we request that consent before the activity begins. You may withdraw consent as described in this Notice, although withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
We may use information about your professional role and organization to improve the accuracy and completeness of the information we maintain about you and to provide a more relevant experience.
For example, we may obtain or verify professional information about you—such as your employer or organization, job title, job function, professional responsibilities, specialty, qualifications, license or professional identifier, practice information, or areas of professional interest—from third-party data providers, business partners, professional directories, registration networks, licensing databases, or publicly available professional sources. We may combine this information with information you provide to us or that we otherwise maintain about you.
We use this information to:
We seek to use professional information in a manner that is proportionate to these purposes and consistent with your reasonable expectations. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or object to certain uses of this information, or to opt out of its sale, sharing, use for targeted advertising, or use in certain profiling. Section 15 explains available rights and choices.
We may send editorial newsletters, publication updates, event information, and marketing about Conexiant content, products, and services that may be relevant to your professional interests. We send marketing only as permitted by applicable law.
Your choice to receive Conexiant marketing is separate from any choice to receive marketing from a sponsor, client, or other organization. We do not use preselected checkboxes or treat silence as affirmative consent where consent is required.
You can unsubscribe from marketing email at any time by using the unsubscribe link in the message, updating available account preferences, or contacting privacy@conexiant.com. Where telephone or text-message marketing is offered, we obtain any consent required by law and provide the applicable opt-out method.
We may continue to send nonmarketing communications that are necessary for your account, transaction, subscription, event, security, or relationship with us. We may retain a limited suppression record to honor your opt-out.
Some articles, reports, videos, webinars, events, surveys, application notes, product profiles, partner channels, or other materials are funded, supplied, or supported by a sponsor or client.
We do not disclose your contact details to a sponsor merely because you view a general advertisement or ungated sponsored page. If a sponsored activity involves disclosing identifiable information, the relevant form or notice will name the sponsor or recipient, explain what information will be disclosed and why, and present the choice required by law before submission.
Information disclosed may include your name, business contact details, employer, job title, country, professional profile, relevant survey responses, requested material, and engagement with the sponsored activity, but only as described at the point of collection.
A sponsor that receives information for its own purposes will generally process it under its own privacy notice. Unless we clearly state otherwise, survey answers are not disclosed to a sponsor in identifiable form. Participating in a survey, receiving Conexiant marketing, and receiving sponsor marketing are separate choices.
We use cookies and similar technologies, including pixels, tags, web beacons, local storage, software-development kits, embedded scripts, and comparable device technologies. These technologies may recognize a browser or device, store or retrieve information, remember settings, secure a session, measure activity, personalize content, or support advertising.
A cookie may be a session cookie, which generally expires when you close your browser, or a persistent cookie, which remains until it expires or you delete it. Cookies may be placed by Conexiant (first-party cookies) or by another organization whose service appears on a Conexiant Service (third-party cookies).
Jurisdiction-Based Privacy Controls. The privacy choices presented through our cookie banner, Privacy Manager, Cookie Settings, or Your Privacy Choices interface may differ depending on your location and applicable law. In jurisdictions requiring prior consent, certain optional technologies will remain disabled unless you affirmatively enable them. In jurisdictions that generally provide an opt-out right, certain technologies may operate unless and until you exercise an applicable opt-out right, subject to legally required defaults and recognized opt-out preference signals. We may use your approximate location, such as location inferred from your IP address, to determine which privacy experience and choices to present. Regardless of the privacy experience presented, you may access available privacy choices through the Cookie Settings or Your Privacy Choices link on the relevant Service.

The Cookie Settings tool or Cookie Declaration for the relevant Service provides the current inventory of technologies in use. The inventory should identify, as applicable:
Because technologies change, the site-specific inventory is the most current source for the exact cookies and providers used on a particular Service. We review and update the inventory when we add, remove, or materially change a technology.
Where required by applicable law, we recognize a valid browser-based opt-out preference signal, such as Global Privacy Control (GPC), as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and its use for targeted advertising. The signal generally applies to the browser and device from which it is sent. Where required by law and we can reasonably associate the signal with an authenticated account, we apply the choice at the account level to associated Services.
GPC does not necessarily communicate a choice about every optional cookie category. You can use Cookie Settings to manage Functional, Analytics, Advertising, and Social Media categories directly.
At this time, we do not respond to legacy Do Not Track browser headers that do not provide a legally recognized opt-out signal. We do respond to GPC and other opt-out preference signals where applicable law requires us to do so.
Emails may contain pixels or similar tools that help us determine whether a message was delivered, opened, or selected and to measure campaign effectiveness. You can limit some of this activity through email settings, blocking remote images, or unsubscribing from marketing. Service providers may still process limited delivery information needed to send and secure messages.
Most browsers and devices allow you to delete or block cookies, limit advertising identifiers, or control location and tracking settings. Browser controls operate separately from the Conexiant Cookie Settings tool and may affect functionality. Clearing cookies may also clear your saved preference, requiring you to make a new selection.
We may use professional information, stated interests, subscription history, and engagement with the Services to infer topics, products, events, or content likely to be relevant to you. This may affect the selection or order of content, newsletters, recommendations, sponsored material, and advertising you see.
We do not currently use solely automated processing to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about general users of the Services. If a Service begins using automated decision-making in a manner that triggers additional rights or notice requirements, we will provide the required notice and choices before that processing begins.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to opt out of profiling used for decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects, targeted advertising, or certain other purposes.
We disclose personal information only as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Notice. Recipients may include:
We require service providers and contractors acting on our behalf to protect personal information, keep it confidential, and use it only for the contracted purposes and instructions, subject to applicable law. Organizations that use personal information for their own purposes are responsible for their own privacy notices and practices.
We may disclose aggregated or deidentified information that does not reasonably identify you.
We do not sell personal information for money. We may permit advertising, analytics, professional-network, or similar partners to collect or receive identifiers, online activity, approximate location, professional information, or inferences. We may also disclose information in connection with sponsored or lead-generation activities as explained at collection. Some of these disclosures may be considered a sale, sharing, or targeted advertising under applicable state privacy laws, even when no money changes hands.
You can use the Your Privacy Choices or Cookie Settings link on the relevant Service to opt out of optional advertising technologies and applicable sale, sharing, or targeted advertising. You may also contact us using section 19.
We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of individuals under 16 for targeted advertising.
Some Conexiant Services may participate in the Healthcare Communications Network (HCN), which is owned and managed by DMD Marketing Corp., an IQVIA business. HCN is designed to support professional identity verification, registration, relevant communications, analytics, and advertising for healthcare professionals across participating member sites.
Where a Service uses HCN, the Service or registration flow will identify the participation. Registration may include registration with HCN and may involve disclosure of your contact and professionally relevant information to DMD and HCN members as described in the HCN privacy policy. HCN may use information for professional verification, relevant communications, analytics, and targeted advertising under its own notice and choices.
You can review HCN’s privacy practices and manage HCN-related information through the HCN Privacy Policy. To the extent HCN independently determines how it uses information, DMD is responsible for that processing.
Other Services may use a different professional identity, registration, or single-sign-on provider. The relevant Service will identify the provider and explain whether it acts for Conexiant, a client, or for its own purposes.
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the disclosed purpose, including to provide the Services, maintain accurate records, honor choices, comply with legal and contractual obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, protect security, and establish or defend legal claims.

When information is no longer needed, we delete it, securely destroy it, or deidentify it. Backup copies may remain for a limited period until overwritten or deleted through ordinary backup cycles.
We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, disclosure, misuse, and unauthorized access. Depending on the Service, information, and risk, measures may include:
No system, storage method, or internet transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Keep passwords and account credentials confidential, use care when sending information through email, and do not place sensitive information in public areas.
We maintain procedures for investigating suspected security incidents and personal-information breaches and provide notifications where required by law.
Conexiant is based in the United States, and the Services are operated from the United States and other locations where Conexiant companies and service providers operate. Personal information may be transferred to and processed in a country other than the country where you live. Privacy laws in those countries may differ.
Where applicable law requires a specific transfer safeguard, we use an approved mechanism or another lawful basis for the transfer. A regional or Service-specific notice may provide additional information. Users of Texere-operated properties should also review the applicable Texere privacy notice.

These rights are not absolute. Exceptions may apply, including for information processed in a business-to-business, employment, regulated-healthcare, financial, or other exempt context, depending on state law.
You may submit a request through any available Privacy Center or request form on the Services, or by contacting:
For an opt-out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising involving online technologies, use the Your Privacy Choices or Cookie Settings link on the relevant Service. You do not need to create an account or verify your identity to submit an opt-out where verification is not permitted by law.
For access, correction, deletion, or portability requests, we may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify your identity and match you to our records. We use verification information only for verification, fraud prevention, security, and legal compliance. If we cannot verify a request, we may be unable to fulfill it.
An authorized agent may submit a request where permitted. We may require proof of the agent’s authority and may contact you directly to confirm the authorization, unless applicable law provides otherwise.
To appeal a decision, email privacy@conexiant.com with the subject line Privacy Request Appeal and explain the basis of the appeal. We respond within the time required by applicable law.
We do not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right. We may offer a different price, rate, level, or quality of service only where permitted by law and reasonably related to the value of the information involved.
This subsection supplements the rest of this Notice for California residents and describes the categories of personal information we collected during the preceding 12 months, the purposes for which we collected and used that information, the categories of recipients to which we disclosed it, and whether applicable categories were sold or shared as those terms are defined under California law. We do not sell personal information for money. Certain disclosures involving advertising, analytics, professional-network, or similar activities may nevertheless constitute a “sale” or “sharing” under California law.

The categories of sources are described in section 3. The business and commercial purposes are described in sections 4 through 9. Categories of recipients are described in sections 10 and 11. Retention criteria are described in section 12 and, for cookies, in the site-specific Cookie Settings tool.
We do not sell personal information for money. We may engage in disclosures that constitute sale or sharing under California law as described above. California residents may opt out through Your Privacy Choices, Cookie Settings, GPC, or the contact methods above.
California residents may also have the right to request information about disclosures of personal information to third parties for their own direct-marketing purposes under California’s “Shine the Light” law. Submit such a request to privacy@conexiant.com with the subject line California Shine the Light Request.
Where California law provides a right to limit the use or disclosure of sensitive personal information, we use sensitive personal information only for purposes permitted without a right to limit, unless a Service provides a Limit the Use of My Sensitive Personal Information choice or another specific notice.
If we offer a financial-incentive or price-or-service-difference program covered by California law, we will provide a separate notice describing the material terms, the value of the information, how to opt in, and how to withdraw. No such program is described by this Notice.
The general Services are not intended to collect protected health information about patients. Do not submit identifiable patient information through ordinary forms, surveys, public features, or unsecured email.
For a particular Client Service, Conexiant may process protected health information on behalf of a client under a separate written agreement, including a business associate agreement where applicable. In that situation, the client’s HIPAA notice, privacy notice, and instructions govern the client’s use of the information, and this public Notice does not replace a covered entity’s Notice of Privacy Practices.
If you believe patient information or other sensitive healthcare information was submitted improperly, contact privacy@conexiant.com promptly.
The general Services are intended for professional and adult audiences and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from a child under 13 through the general Services without any notice and verifiable parental consent required by law.
Certain client-directed, educational, family, or event Services may involve information about minors. Where that occurs, the relevant client or Service must provide the appropriate notice, authorization, or parental-consent process. Conexiant processes that information according to the applicable agreement and law.
We do not knowingly sell or share personal information of individuals under 16 for targeted advertising without the affirmative authorization required by law.
If you believe a child has provided personal information through a Service without appropriate authorization, contact privacy@conexiant.com.
The Services may link to websites, applications, advertisements, social-media features, embedded content, or services operated by other organizations. A link or integration does not mean that Conexiant controls or endorses the organization’s privacy practices. Once you leave a Conexiant Service or interact directly with a third party, its own privacy notice and terms apply.
We may update this Notice to reflect changes in the Services, our information practices, or the law. The date at the top shows when it was most recently revised. If a change is material, we will provide an appropriate notice, such as a prominent message on the relevant Service, an updated cookie banner, or direct communication where required.
We do not treat continued use of the Services as consent where applicable law requires a separate affirmative choice.
